Memories

  1. Farewell Ced. So glad that Amber & Piers could be there .. Conrad & Charlotte were there in spirt. God bless and Rest in Peace.

  2. Much has been spoken of Cedric’s kindness and charm. I had an early experience of these qualities when he visited our home more than fifty years ago. He was already a confident young man, whereas I was a somewhat diffident teenager. One morning during his visit, I was practising for an imminent piano examination. After listening for a while, Cedric (perhaps sensing that I needed a confidence-boost) told me kindly that I would pass. It was a pleasure to recall this, more than half a century later at his and Rosemary’s magnificent wedding, even though I had to break the news to him that I had in fact failed the exam. We met again, just before 2020’s lockdown, when we had very enjoyable and wide-ranging conversation over a delicious lunch at No.45. It was a sad day on 28 May 2021, but also an uplifting day – and a glorious tribute to him.

  3. God bless you, Cedric. You will always be remembered as a part of my own life. Another good lad from Leeds. John M.

  4. Ced was a fine friend in our days at UCL. We were sorry to have lost contact when with our busy lives we went separate ways. We were so glad to have made contact again in recent years and to be with Ced and Rosemary at their wedding.
