A tribute to my mum
Ellie lived in London roughly 90 years. Her great quality was her dry sense of humour. She was extremely generous and always put the needs of others before her own. She loved to be the centre of attention and loved banter. Mum was ageless and one of a kind. Her love for Connemara never left her, she loved to reminisce and was even thinking about her next trip home this summer. Mum always faced adversity with a smile, a quality I have always admired. Mum was a very special lady and I was so lucky that she was my mum. RIP Mum.
Of all good times that e’er we shared,
I leave to you fond memory;
And for all the friendships that e’er we had
I ask you to remember me;
And when you sit and stories tell,
I’ll be with you and help recall;
So fill to me the parting glass,
God bless, and joy be with you all.
