  9. Dear Uncle Tommy, one of my favorite memories of you is when you surprised me by calling me from the middle of Times Square on your first trip to Manhattan and said “I think I’m near your office.” And you were! Within minutes you’d climbed three flights of stairs and were sitting opposite me. I was so chuffed you’d come to visit. From there we spent the whole day together. I’ll never forget it.

Then there was Reading, a trip I so needed to make for me and Mary who I know you missed so much. I’m so very grateful you came with me. We ended that night dancing to the Waterboys, once you’d ripped the jukebox controls out of my hands (sorry, Tina). I’ll never forget your smile and your laugh. I’m thinking you and Mary looking down on us all with a mighty grin. Night night.

  17. What can I say Tom, other than … ‘It Were Him That Done It’.

Far too many memories to cover off here, but my most memorable has to be the Mumford & Son concert ❤️ At Hyde Park. What a day of singing, dancing, laughter and fun! I will always cherish that day.

Among other memories would have to be of us girls coming on the trips to the Rugby & the races, the numerous Flannery gatherings (Christmas being THE event of the year), trips to Ireland and multiple late nights at The Prince, Felbridge, Flannerys & out in Luton. Laughter always followed you.

Always greeted with a big grin, bellowing ‘Hello Hooley’ and a hug that was like being clotheslined because you were so tall and strong!

    A gentle giant ❤️
