Thomas Vincent Murphy was born on 27 January 1942 to loving parents Michael and Frances Murphy in Shrewane, Fenagh,Co Leitrim.
He was one of seven children. He had 4 sisters and two brothers.
Sadly there are only three surviving siblings, Jenny and Patsy in Ireland and Betty in New York.
Thomas will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.Thomas was a great conversationalist and a great storyteller. He had a great listening ear also.
His attention to detail was second to none.A gentleman of great knowledge and wit.He was everybody’s friend.

Tom's funeral will be streamed live from the church at 12.15 on Friday 21st January. Tom was a kind human and friend! I meet him when I moved to England and worked at the pub. He always was the type of person that would ask me How I was and was kind to me when I was learning English. He liked to chat and tell me his stories when he was at the pub over a pint of Guinness. Will always remember you Tom, I know you are in a better place and I will always remember your good heart! RIP my friend
Farewell Thomas. You were one of lifes true gentlemen. Always a pleasure to be in you company when you were home on holidays, all the great stories – interesting and well told and all the laughs.. Rest in Peace..

Tom was very proud of his Leitrim roots. He was a true and loyal friend who will be sorely missed.

My first memory of Tom was when he home from England on holidays and I , aged about 6 or 7,visited home in Leitrim with his sister Mae, he was very chatty and great fun. Met home good few times later when I was single but not much in last 20 yrs.
