A much loved mother, sister, wife and friend.
Vera was born in Sligo, one of 8 children. She moved to England when she was 19. First to Birmingham and then to London where she met and married Eddie. She lived in Kenton for many years and was an active member of the community and a good neighbour to many.
Vera liked to go dancing, practise yoga, play bridge and attend social clubs. She always liked to be doing something.
Vera did a lot for people in her lifetime. From friends, neighbours and family she was always willing to give her time and advice to help others. She was always willing to support others through any difficult times as well as celebrate the good times.

I have very early and fond memories of Aunty Vera’s visits to Sydney when I was a young child – she was a lot of fun and a lovely, kind person. Was pleased to have the opportunity to visit her in England just a few years ago and she hadn’t changed! Still full of joy and kindness. Rest In Peace Vera, you will be missed. I have known Vera for over 40 years she was such a kind neighbour and friend to me and my daughters. Such happy memories especially when I made trips back to Kenton. Our little group used meet up and had such great times. RIP Vera, you will never be forgotten
