A much loved son, brother partner and friend.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die

I met Lennox when I was a teenager. Memories of dancing with him in Sunderland nightclubs. He was fabulous fun with a smile that warmed your heart. He was kind & generous. We exchanged messages through your life & I introduced him to my husband. We all thought he was a great guy. I hoped to visit him one day. I have only just realised that he has past away when I went onto his facebook page to wish him love on his birthday.
I’m so sad to hear this news. x
So sorry to here of Lens passing, I worked for Len for 10 years, and he wasn’t only a great boss but a great friend, who kept in touch right through to his illness, always asking about my family. RIP Mate.
I’ve known Lennex for over 35 years. He was a good friend of my husband’s since their childhood. He fast became a family friend and much loved by our children too. Len was a generous loving kind fun person, we have great memories of our times together
Dear Lennex’ brave struggle with cancer ended has ended. Many, especially myself, will miss the unique, lively, one and only, Lennex, my friend of over 55 years. We started school together in Cleadon when Lennex was 5 and I was 4 and have been friends ever since. Always kind, friendly, thoughtful , full of life, full of opinions, commonsense advice and compassion, Lennex was a wonderful and engaging friend. Lennex had so many interests – music, drama, voice recording, politics, being generally hilarious and most recently his legal studies – he really was a most cultured, creative and well-rounded person with endless conversation. He loved Spain, family, partner, dog, life and so much more! My thoughts and prayers are with Lennex’s lovely family in their sorrow.
“Everything passes away – suffering, pain, blood, hunger, pestilence. The sword will pass away too, but the stars will remain when the shadows of our presence and our deeds have vanished from the Earth. There is no man who does not know that. Why, then, will we not turn our eyes toward the stars? Why?”
― Mikhail Bulgakov, The White Guard
